Trackball - High or low version?
« on: July 31, 2004, 11:06:00 am »
Hello there!

I originally bought the ultimarc-trackball and now I think its too small and I also want to have an illuminated ball.

So I want to throw the money out for a Happs-trackball. But Im not sure which version to get, the high ball or the low ball one. What are the differences in "play-feel"? I noticed the mounting plate for the high ball version is with 20 bucks more pricey than the one for the low version.

Please help, need to get this order out today. (Im also ordering the Happs Perfect 360, special offer is away tomorrow, maybe I have some more time due to time lag, Im from Germany)

I'd get the low standard tball or the high lip golden tee ball.  The high ball has uses a bigger plate, has a larger center hole and costs more.  Here are some threads that talk about the different trackballs happ offers:

I don't actually have a translucent Tball.  However, either variety would work.  I'd go with the 12 V because you can easy get 12 V off your computer's power supply.  For the 6 V lamp, you could use the 5 V from the computer but it would probably be a lot dimmer than the 12 V.
