Painting/priming the inside
« on: July 30, 2004, 02:54:02 pm »
I'm using mostly plywood, so I'm not that concerned, but my CP is MDF. We all know how MDF warps, should I at least prime all sides of the control panel (inside, side, and outside?)

Has anyone had any MDF control panels warp after a year or 2 of use?

I'd suggest doing it anyway, that's what I did.  Better safe then sorry!
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Can't speak for a cab just yet, but I have some built ins around the house out of MDF and I wish I had painted the inside because the shelves are sagging a bit.  The humidity in Florida is pretty extreme though.
