MAME 32 CRASHES

hi i was wondering if anyones knows of a site where i can pick up a good mame emulator for windows that wont lagg mame32 seems to lock my processor as it loads any one know how to fix this crashing?

It could be anything nullb0y.  If you have adequate memory and speed on your PC then its probably a software conflict.  For example mine lags or crashes, but then I feel like an idiot and remember that I forgot to disable my anti-virus.  
My cabinet will not have anti-virus when complete, just Mame.

so you think if i disable mcafee 6.0 it will help will try right now lol i feel stupid heh ill tell you if that work ok thanks man ill be right back in either 5 min or 10 hours if i lagg lol

I run Genome@Home, Norton AV, and few other bits and bobs in the background, and MAME32 is just fine on my system. What CPU do you have, and how much RAM is installed?

it was mcafee my emulatoir runs fine now i have a 1.3 ghz emachines with a 40gig hdd and 128 ram yeah i do need ram huh? im thinking of picking some up soon1234 now to my next post
