Where can I order pushbuttons cheap?
« on: July 19, 2004, 05:55:32 pm »
I want to get a large amount of convex push buttons for my control panel.  Coin Op Express is becoming too much of a hassle to work with, always changing things around.  Happ Controlls is way too expensive considering I want over 50 buttons of various colors.  Who else can I get convex push buttons from for cheap?

Well 50 buttons isn't really a 'large amount' that any vendors would consider a bulk purchase.  To get excellent bulk prices vendors would expect you to buy 100's of buttons at a minimum.  Happs buttons are only $1.75.  Is that really too expensive?  What are you expecting to pay for these things?

Yes I want the convex japanese style buttons.  My friend has them on his tekken tag machine, and playing on his I love them so much that I now hate concave.

Coin Op has the buttons for 18 cents each and the microswitches about the same.  Why should I pay over $150 for these when its obvious they don't cost close to that to make?

http://www.starburstcoin.com/

They are based in canada,
its 2 bux CDN for each button, with the nut and the horizontal microswitch

that's where i got my ton of buttons from
they are the canadian distributer of happ products, so you can get anything happ has there.
it'll save you on postage fee's and brokerage fee's also if your in toronto :)

HAHAHAHA that's so funny. Those $50 jeans you're wearing. Do you think they cost $50 to make?? They probably cost $2. You can't use that line of reasoning. That's why they require bulk purchases to get those kind of prices...

 - Factory sells them cheap in LARGE bulk to a distributor...
 - Distributor marks them up and sells them in smaller bulks to stores (resellers)
 - Stores sell them marked up again to individuals.

NO MORE!!

Are those the HAPP buttons that they sell for 2.00 each or are they cheap knockoffs? HAPP buttons are longer and are just built better.  Here is a picture for comparison. Happ on the left, cheaper built button on the right.

Coinop was going to give me an order below minimums exactly what I wanted.  It would have an extra handling charge.  I had been working with them for over a month trying to get the order all set and paid.  Last thing I was waiting for was shipping costs.  Then they email me saying factory changed their minds about below minimum orders.  I had about a $250 subtotal order before anything else, which had pretty good stuff.  Now I can't have any of it, and if I go with Happ have to spend that same amount for a whole hell of a lot less items.

Happ doesn't even make buttons, they just resell iL brand buttons.
