PSX/PS2 Hack Questions-Newbie...
« on: July 16, 2004, 08:55:46 pm »
Hello
I wish to hook up my xbox to my cp. I have read that psx pads and ps2 dual shock pads can be completely hacked and many people can do it. I was wondering could I get one of those hacked then get a convertor so it would plug into xbox? then also get a usb adapte to go from psx hack to computer? so when i had to switch it would be simply unplug from xbox and into pc for mame? I like the idea of psx hacks because it supprots all fucntions.

I see on Link-sang.com they have all sorts of adapters to convert PSX/PS2 to xbox, and to go from PSX/PS2 into PC. There are a few, can anyone recommend one? I would like at least a 2 player if not 4 player...that will support the controls, plus light guns, steering wheels etc......

http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=23&products_id=3172&

this link abox looks like a good one says supports joys and wheels... but not sure on guns?

http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=23&products_id=1697&

this one says it supports joys and guns but nothing about wheels?

JUST wondering if anyone had experience with doign this and could recommend adapters etc....... I would really appreciate it.

Also looking for any sites, or ppl who would be willing to make me a couple of hacks.....looking to have a nice solid wiring job, and labels.. so the newbie I am can get it working with out a hitch.... Does anyone make them? anyone make them in a case to prevent me from pulling wires from the circuit board and to keep it in  a nice compact, neat unit? that would be great.

If you can help in anymanner please feel free to email me direct or PM me...I will get back to ASAP...

Thanks in advance for any response folks, it is always apprecaited!

I have a Xbox and computer in my arcade but I went about it a different way. I used xarcade board with hookups to the xbox and computer and then used a serial switcher so there is no reason to reach into the cabinet at all

That answers just about all of your questions, except for the actual hacking process, which I'm not sure why you would have to do that if you can just buy the adapter.
