Hi all,
I have a DL that plays blind and i have no experience with monitors but was told that it just wasn't getting power and was an easy fix. I am looking for someone in the Toms River area of NJ to stop by and give it a looksee. ANY help would be appreciated. Thank you,
Greg

Have you posted in www.d-l-p.com yet?  They specialize in everything Dragon's Lair along with the rest of the Laser Disc Games.

I wonder if you have verified the connection between the LDP to the monitor.  I believe that there is another PCB between the LDP and the Monitor.

Just reread your post.  Uh...have you tried to turn the monitor on?  What happens?

I'd say post at d-l-p.com if you haven't yet.

Hi Eric. Yes i have been frequenting the DLP for a few years now. I've posted a while ago but no on lives in the area. I was told that the monitor, itself, wasn't getting power to it and was told it was probably something simple but hell if i can find it. And YES,i have checked fuses  ;)
thanks for the reply though.

Well...

Now I understand your prediciment.  I don't live in FLA either, so I can't check it out, but I don't know much about the monitors anyway.  My DL cab is empty.  Just a wooden box and coin door.

Do you have a manual by chance?  Their may be some troubleshooting guides in there.  At least, a schematic.

If you have pics or a website, I'd like to check it out.  Is this a restoration project or was the Cabinet already in good shape?

Actually i'm in NJ,not FLA :P  but it's ok,lol.
The cab was complete and part of a bulk buy . I knew when buying this that the game played blind but didn't know it would out of my league to fix :0(. It did come with a manual but some of it reads like chinese to me.
I had a bunch of pics but they were wiped out. I might have one left that i sent to the DLP. If the pic comes up then it's the DL on the left thats having probs.

DonJuan:

I use a great guy named Dave who was more of a pinball tech, but seems to be able to fix anything arcade related.

He was working on some asteroids/space invaders down in Bayhead over the summer.

I haven't spoken to him since January.  I'll send him your email and see if he responds.

You could also call these guys in Lakewood.  I think they fix everything.

BTW, I'm in Jackson  ;D
