  • I want to Build My Own Arcade Controls!!
For Peeps With Happ Optical Rotary Jstick
« on: August 15, 2002, 03:45:54 pm »
Got my Happ Optical joystick wired up to my opti-pac and it all works fina apart from when I try to rotate the joystick shaft it seems to stiff, I was wondering if I have done something wrong when connecting the optical part back after when I installed it or are these joysticks supose to be stiff.

I have the analog settings up in mame and when using my spinner with the game (midnight resistance), the movement seems to play fine.

Can anyone help :)

That depends on how stiff you're talking here. They are a little stiff at first, and loosen up with some use. But they aren't supposed to spin like a spinner. The stiffness in the rotating gives you more control I guess.
