Put legs on your SlikStik??
« on: July 05, 2004, 03:59:41 pm »
I don't have the room for a full cabinet so I'm wanting to put some sort of legs on my slikstik classic so I can haul it out and attach it to my laptop and TV (laptop has S-video out) and play. Then put it all away when I'm done. (sorry to all the purists - this is only meant to allow MAME play so give the full arcade experience ;) )

Anyone done anything like this?  What should I use for legs?  How should I attach them?  Ideally the legs would be easily removable for storage.

Any thoughts appreciated.

I'd say get some of that metal pipe normally found and HD, Lowes etc., the stuff with the threads on each end...  They also have a corosponding "nipple" (may be the wrong term for that), that you would screw to the bottom of the CP which would in turn accept the threaded pipe.

Did you follow all that?
I can get pictures if you need them.
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

I didn't see any metal pipes at HD (thought I was a little rushed).  I think I know what you're talking about with the attaching piece too thought if anyone has easy access to photos that would be helpful too. ;)
