Mounting Happ Super to SlikStik blank
« on: July 05, 2004, 02:52:54 pm »
I'm ready to mount my supers to my slikstik blank classic.  What kind and length screws shoud I use?

I don't want to have bolts showing through from the top but I'm worried that wood screws will pull out with a bit of gameplay.

Recommendations?

I wouldn't use screws personally.  Does the blank SlikStik have a nice finish applied already??  If so, I think you will be hard pushed to use bolts and not have them show...

Yes, it's already got the black finish on the top.

They've got theirs mounted without using bolts that go all the way through.  See photos here:

So 3/4 inch wood screws would not be advisable?  They shouldn't puncture the finish... but I'm worried that they'll pull out.
