Please help me identify this spinner
« on: July 05, 2004, 12:40:51 pm »
I got myself a used spinner last week.  It has the optic board, and spins well with a little lubricating.  Could someone please help me identify this spinner ?  I guess I won't be able to plug it on a MiniPac since it seems that it supports only Oscar's spinners.  I guess I'll have to go to a mouse hack with it, or get an Optipac.

Thanks

That is definitely Arkanoid. I have the same one.

And it works with an OptiPac (not sure why it wouldn't with a MiniPac???)

Thanks for the replies guys.  I wonder also why it wouldn't work with a Minipac, but on Ultimarc's website, it is said that it works with Oscar's, so i can't say if it would work with this one.  Hopefully yes, since I want to lower my costs a bit.

The MiniPAC is made for OEMs.  Since it isn't made for the normal general public there is no direct link to it.  Andy, if I am wrong please correct me.

I e-mailed Andy yesterday about this and he replied that both my Atati/Happ used trackball and Arkanoid spinner should work fine with the Minipac.  So I guess that settles it, I will try this.  However I'll have to check if the optic boards of both items are working, and have to decide what to do with the trackball that have different optic boards (see my other post here:  http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=21491

Thank you everyone
