« on: July 01, 2004, 09:40:14 am »
Ok I need a ball mouse but it has to be usb I have plenty of ball ps2 mice.

I just built a spinner out of a ps2 and unfortunately it won't work in my situation... laptop mame machine without hacking the carring case up .

Anyways I need one cheap or I am willing to trade my homebuilt spinner.

Thanks
Ed

Ed,

Any chance you can use a PS2 to USB converter and use the PS2 one you already made?

Unfortunately not ... there is not enough room at the back of the laptop to do that .

There is barely enough room for a usb .

I would like to add that the reason I built the spinner was to see if I liked how a home built spinner worked. As of now the spinner is in it's own wooden box but in order to use the spinner  I have to lift the computer out of the case and use the spinner through the ps2 port which is one the right side of the computer. Very much a pain in the arse.

I do like the spinner's feel,  but now I wan't to incorporate it into my cp and I can't do it without a usb ball mouse.

BTW....Gozur thanks again for your help with the trackball mouse. I am still looking into making this work Death Dealer made a  mini cab with a trackball made from Logitech Mable mouse. I asked him for pictures to see how he accomplished this.  So who know I may still buy that from you

Oscar sells them....

USB Ball mice are getting harder and harder to find, Oscar is going to be your best bet..that way they are already hacked so you can just plug and play (if you have cables wired already)

They are wired for USB (plug-and-play just like a USB Mouse).  Oscar has also let it be known that these are compatible with USB-to-PS/2 adapters.
