Multiple Control Question
« on: June 28, 2004, 08:17:08 am »
 ???

Can any one help with a query, I am looking to set up a machne and would like to get an all in one control set up, which would house.

2 Ultimarc - T-Stik Plus's

18 Ultimarc Buttons including player and coin op

1 Ultimarc TrackBall

2 Act labs Usb TV Light Guns.

The display hopefully will be a 27" Scart COnecction TV as I think this will give a better resolution going in via the RGB and works out cheaper for me. Will be going out from PC from Video out on graphics card.

Would the configeration be possible, and one wounders what the best way or only way of setting up, including whats the best option for controling circuit i.e Ultimarc I-pac and Optipac or some other varient.

Anyone help here?

I don't see why it wouldn't be possible.  This is basically the same setup that I'm planning.  I only have to research the Light Guns a bit more.

I'm not familiar with Scart since I'm in the US, but as far as I've read on the Act-Labs site, the TV light guns only work with S-Video or Composite.  If I'm mistaken, somebody please correct me.

For my encoder, I picked up a mini-pac that had Trackball/Spinner support.  Kinda killed two birds with one stone.

I would recommend the ArcadeVGA card for your Scart TV.  The RGB output will work no trouble with the TV...

Don't plug your regular VGA output RGB into your Scart socket, it could mess up your TV...
