I was recently working on my Cab, and had to swap out the Radeon 8500 board I had powering the unit to a Radeon 7500 board.
After removing the 8500 board and installing the 7500, something has happened to the cab during bootup. Before, with the 8500, the TV which is connected via SVIDEO would boot correctly, with the TV I use as a monitor working just as a monitor would.
However, upon installing the 7500, the opening screens of my PC's bootup scroll endlessly...my custom Commodore 64 boot-up screen (snazzy!) is in black and white and scrolls up and down the screen endlessly....only when Windows itself initializes does the Monitor display correctly.
What makes it an issue is that if, during bootup, I want to adjust any of the BIOS properties, I can't....the screen is scrolling. I have to hook up a monitor to the cab in order to not get the scrolling display.
Is this a known problem with the radeon 7500 series of cards versus the 8500 series, regarding monitor hookups and synch during bootup??
If you have any insight, I'd apprecaite it...
