Does this joystick look correctly installed?
« on: June 24, 2004, 05:56:07 pm »
I have a slikstik quad control panel blank.  I also have Betson's version of a Super Joystick, with microswitches that have arms.

Look at this photo:

The stick seems and feels too low.  Any idea what I am doing wrong?

And for reference, this is how I want it to be:

Notice how the shaft is much longer.

Could first please resize that picture ::)

Second, Did you route any of the bottom out. That will push the joystick up. If that is what your looking for.

Now you know what it feels like to be a spider on stilts on a control panel  :D

Yeah route the underside to make the wood ~1/4" thick (I assume you have 3/4" wood).

Heh heh, thanks guys.  What do I use to route the wood in that area?  I have four sticks to install mind you.
