Thought this might be useful info for those doing swappable CPs.

Shipping will probably be a lot, but if you order enough I'm sure the savings will outweigh the cost.

Did that sentance make any sense to anyone other than myself?

Almost forgot the link...

If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Careful though - these are male-to-male connectors.  All sexual preference jokes aside, I think you need male to female for a CP application.

I didn't search that site though, maybe they have those cheap too....

Cool. It says all 25 pins are connected each side; I've sliced open some printer cables before (Belkin) only to find not all pins to be wired (I guess a regular centronics printer cable doesn't need all 25 connections).
Cut each of these in half and they'd work great. Must see what the shipping is...

Yowch! Shipping for 20 units is $53!!! For 10 units it $35!

Forget the ends.. old printer cables are awesome for stealing separately color coded individual wires.  No need to pay radio shack boat loads of money for their 4 or so colors. Most printer cables have all the color combinations, striped, etc.. makes locating a bad wire in a mess of wires really easy.

Note: only use the inside wires for data (e.g. inputs) and not power (e.g. +5/+12 volts or of course 120 volts), as they're quite small.

Ooops.  I guess I missed that.

Also I hadn't realised how much shipping would be.  I guess you can just ignore this topic...  ::)
