Cost: $50 to $800
Time: 20 to 40 hours

I know that costs can vary, but has anybody built or restored a full blown cab in 20 hours?  God knows how far above that mark I am.

Well if you buy a gutted cab you might get it done that quick. I have seen ebay auctions of cabs that could not have taken longer than 30 minutes to build  :P

Amazing how they can post something like that and not link to BYOAC. I think this is one of the first sites I found when I thought of building my own cab.

Dozens of enthusiasts have followed the trail he blazed--check out arcadeathome.com for a gallery of home-built boxes, and the other "Sources" (below) for all the info you need to create your own.

Oh god and they list arcadeathome.com ..

Nothing like listing a site with bad reporting, tons of popup ads, and a virtually non-existant community base.

THIS site and it's dedicated forum visitors have advanced this hobby more than every other related site combined.  I wish it got more credit where it was due.

I saw this in last month's Pop Sci magazine.  I think Tim Eckel submitted the info to the magazine via their web site.  That's probably why he's featured.  And the editors of the magazine don't know any better than to use his crap site.   :P

if i could put this together i tink it would take 20-40 hours. but my keyboard hack doesn't look like that at all. and what about ghosting? and are we missing speakers? now I won't complain too much sine my cabinet is in the planing stage but i think disappointment for someone as inexperianced as me saying yeah that looks cool  :o but hey maybe someone will screw up a nice cabinet and then there will be a cheaper one around.

unfortuneatly i've already gone over my 40 hours just planing and seeing what everyone else has done.
