I would be interested.  Let me know if he responds.  Did you ask him what he has left & rough price ranges?

Yeah I emailed him to, but to no avail... I'm only interested in working machines, though. What are ya'll looking for? I don't want to be stepping on anybody's toes here.

Just looking.  I would be more interested in working machines but an empty cocktail might be good conversion material.

I'm always on the look out for neo-geo cabs or cabs for maming. Although if there are good working games at a reasonable price, I might have to get some. ;D I love to have a pinball. I dont know where I would put it in my apartment tho. Dining rooms are overrated right? ;D

Ouch!

They all look like bad conversions.  Two horrible old school Taito to Street Fighter 2 jobs...

good lord!?!

i saw a few coin doors.  it may be worth picking those up to sell here, or ebay.

what is the deal with all of those "new game" marquees?  And the lame golden axe marquee...was it really that lame?  I might have gone if I didn't have to work this weekend.

I'm down for a trip out there if anybody else is in for it. I'll be out of town on Sunday, but I've got Friday and Saturday free.

(I'm in Plano.)

*UPDATE* I finally got to see the pictures on a better monitor, and those things seem to be in pretty good condition (for the most part). Whether they work or not remains to be seen, but the formica on the sides helps alot! I'm definitely interested in checking it out if anybody else is. I'm moving into a new house here in the next couple weeks, and I'll have a whole garage available to fill up!!!

I might go, depends on what "el hefe" (my wife) says. I'm in N. Dallas. He says he wants a minimum of $100/cab if the entire lot is taken. I wonder if he will negotiate for less on a per cab basis?

Less? He seems like he's willing to cut a deal the first person that can make them dissapear altogether. He won't sell them for less on a per-unit basis. If anything they'll cost more. We'd be lucky if he sold us our choice at $100 each.

I guess I've gotten spoiled by some of the deals I have gotten at superauctions. Most non-working cab go for under $50. What I ment by less is that he identified one cab as definitely not working -"Off Road - Broken for sure." I've had an itch to make a driving cab.

I see what you're saying, but do you know what that game looks like? it's not really suitable for a driving cab...

You mean that might not fit in my apartment? :o I guess my dreams are bigger then reality of my apartment. Wait...I dont need a dining room!  ;) I need to hurry and finish grad school so that I can get a house with a garage! Also if you look at the pictures there is an aerofighters that has "bad" written on it. Unless the owner is Micheal Jackson, Im assuming that it doesnt work.

I can't make it there from CA, but if somebody picks that Off Road up and is parting it out, I've been looking for a Yellow (center position) wheel for a while.  Pedals, too.

Well I'm on my way down there tomorrow... Wish me luck! It seems someone else has already bought a few items, and another person is scheduled to check out the goods before I get there so I don't know how much stuff will be left.

I'm looking for stuff to restore, though. The green Taito cab and Zookeeper cab look to be in pretty good condition. I may also take the opportunity to salvage a couple of Galaga/Pac cabs. The guy said he had some Williams cabs, too... So we'll see!

I bought 12 of the machines. I got a full cross-section of conversions including a (former) Galaxian, Ms. Pacman, Dig Dug X 2, Joust X 2, Defender, Off-Road, green Taito caband Zookeeper.

The only game matching inside and out is Off-Road and it loks complete. Otherwise there are 2 oroginal cabs with non-originals games and 7 conversions. I'm hoping to get most all of them back to original. I know that sounds like a major feet, but I've got time.

He had a working Donky Kong Jr. that needed a new cap kit $300. The Pole Position was DOA and had severe water damage- $75. Baby Pac that didnt look like it was working, I didnt ask the price. He had a non-working Galaxian cocktail he wanted $200 - kind of rough shape. He had a lot of EM pinballs that started at $600 and went up from there. He had a Theater of Magic Pin for $3K. Man I wish I could get that! I think alot of people missed it becasue in the posting on this board and on the newsgroups said July 25 when it was June 25. Also the crappy rainy weather kept a lot of people away. If you are interested in EM pinballs I would go and check it out, for arcade stuff - no. He is a nice guy and says that he always coming in to new stuff. Here is  his contact info:

It's a sickness!  You never get enough cabs or parts!  You should see my "parts" room that was formally the guest room and half of my garage is filled with cabinets right now.  And where do I look everyday?  Buy/Sell/Trade, RGVAC and Ebay......

I don't think we actually bought any non-working machines. I'll have to check... but we'll have to go back and pick up the rest of them, though, so I should be able to get one for you while I'm at it. He's charging $100 bucks each, though. Is that in your budget? I noticed you didn't want to pay that much for the Defender.

I think a gutted cab is worth about $50-70.  I wasn't able to check back on the Defender cab so I lost out.  I've called and I'm waiting for them to call me back.  I'd prefer a completely stripped out no name cab.  I'd probably get a second one as well.

How cheap are you looking for?  I have several new ones and a few used ones.  New ones go for $50 a piece plus shipping and the used ones typically go for $25 a piece (or less if they are missing parts).  Let me know if you are interested.

I'll see what I can do. It depends if I have room to fit one more. We may be really pressed for space. There's really only one no-name cab left in his inventory. It's a red generic cab for holding a 25" monitor. It's not working, and we didn't check to see what it would take to fix it. Cosmetically, it's in great condition since it's not as old as the others. However, it's one of the few that didn't fire up. I can check with him to see if he's willing to come down on the price since it doesn't work.

Maybe you and I can work out a deal, though. Maybe I can pick it up for you if I can have the monitor? I don't know if it works or not, but you don't seem too interested in it.
