Possible to use 2 buttons for 1 control in Mamewah?
« on: June 21, 2004, 11:53:57 am »
In Mamewah you can set various actions to be different keys than default.  My question is Is there a way to use 2 buttons to control one of these actions.  I'd like to make the "escape" action take place when I press 2 buttons (like say "v" and "1" together) as opposed to 1 to prevent accidental exiting.  Any way around this or can this be in the next release Minwah? ;D

This sounds like more of an encoder problem than a frontend problem.  If you're encoder has a shift function, you could use a dedicated shift button so that escape would be a 2 button press.
first off your and idiot

Man I love the internet, haha.

I'm using JoyToKey since my joysticks are PS2 sticks running through a USB adapter.  Any way I can do this through That program or Mamewah?  I tried but when I try to set the button combination Mamewah just takes the first button pressed.

Not atm (unless JoyToKey has some kindof combination key feature?) :(

I intend to add simul-multi-key support...but it's actually a fair bit harder to do than the current single-key stuff, and for little gain in the big scheme of things (ie few people need it).  So that said I guess don't hold your breathe, sorry  ::)

No problem.  I'll check JoytoKey or think up a different solution.  Just thought I'd check.
