Brainstorming : Rotaing CP - Motorized?
« on: June 15, 2004, 02:30:16 pm »
QUick question... I am working on a rotating control panel. I am using the design from http://rebirth.dgthompson.com/cp.html .

I am pondering this. Is there a motor somewhere out that that I could use to rotate the panel with the touch of a button?

One problem I think of is that since the panels cannot go 360 degrees, how to make the motor stop after three turns?

Ideas, thoughts, comments, or should I just stick with manual labor!?

IMO motorizing this is overkill. You'd have to design it so it stops PRECISELY in the right spot, and then you'd probably still have to clamp it in place so it doesn't move during rigorous playing.

Not worth it...

NO MORE!!
