Pacman Hi score save kit
« on: June 12, 2004, 02:53:24 am »
I have looked but can't find anyone making a high score save kit for the original pac man. I saw a machine on eBay a while back that claimed to have one, along with some kind of screensaver built in.

I would love to get my hands on one of these!!

Can anybody help?
Donkey Kong Hi Scores:

1) 169,600
2) 164,300
3) 134,000
4)116,800
5) LOL!

You probably saw the 96 in 1 multipac.

http://home.everestkc.net/mdoyle/multipac.htm

It includes all the features of the pacman hi score save as well as ms pac and pacman plus scores with a top 10 list for each and multipac features.

The reason I don't think it was a pac hi score kit is I only remember selling 2 hi score kits, they wasn't much interest in it so I rolled it all together into a multipac for not a lot more money.

I've since quit selling them too, but Mike Doyle has taken over the project, and will still sell them.

You think there is any way of getting the screensaver and hi score without all the extra games for cheaper? (say $20, maybe)

Should I just email Mike and ask him?

No, the hi score only was $60 when I sold it, and I wasn't making a lot of profit on it.  It only takes $8 more in parts to go from the hi score board to the multipac so that's why I dropped the hi score part.
