hey guys... looks like fun.  I'd be intersted in the august meetup (if you'll have me *ducks*)

I was in beantown with my wife celebrating our 4th anniversary and believe me you guys would have been jealous of me.  To think you were playing video games adn drinking and hucking it up, I was watching the musical Oklahoma in a fancy theater :'( :'( :'(

Well the wife was happy, so maybe i've built up enough husband escrow to go in August (or whatever).

rampy--- out!

I am just about finished with MAME on the MOVE...it's a laptop mame machine...I bring it up on the next get together.

I'm thinking of putting together a little bar-top like Recycled Past's using all the spare parts and junk I've got lying around, if it's done by then I'll take it along too. Maybe we could all build something and have a mini-cab pageant? All competing for the prestigious title of Little Miss Mame Cab, New England

I live in Tewksbury.
I'm a big fan of retro gaming most of today's newer games don't cut it for me. Give me 2 buttons and a joystick and I'm good!
I've dabbled a little bit here and there
with emulators and Rom's on my PC. I've given some thought
to building my own Cabinet. Where I dont know what I'm getting myself into time and cost wise, I'm leary to jump in.

FunSpot is calling for me!  I will be up in Alton next weekend 6/26 through Wednesday 6/30.  You have your ski's up and running yet?  I will be making a point to hit the Naswa beach bar (among others) over the weekend- we should hook up if your gonna be around.

Ok thats cool, we will hook up later.   As for the name, it doesn't have much to do with anything actually.  I got into BBS chatting in highschool and used that as one of my original on-line names.  It's original intent was to imply some kind of sexual prowess.  I then changed the 'ch' to a 'k' for a spin on the word.  Not much glamor I know, sorry.

I just noticed that Back In Time ( http://www.backntime.net ) has added a write-up of the 2004 Funspot tournament. I don't see any of us wandering around in the backgrounds of any photos, but it's nice to get a look at the games that were in the competition area.

I haven't been around lately (working two jobs), but I just wanted to dust this thread off and see if we're still on for the 14th of Aug.?

I'm in for sure. Hope we can get this thing together again.

Damn! I just realized that I promised to attend a golf fund-raiser on the 14th a long, long time ago (I didn't go last year and if I don't go this year I'm in big trouble with all the in-laws).
Also, my beautiful car died so I don't have any way of getting up there now anyway. :(

Shite! Any chance of setting another date?

BUMP!

Is anybody keeping an eye on this thread? Or is there a new one started that I missed?
August 14th is right around the corner now. I still don't think I can make it that day.  :(

Is it too late to suggest changing it to the 21st?
I think I was the idiot that suggested the 14th in the first place!  :-[

I wish it was *this* weekend.  My wife just declared that she's taking the kids to her parents for the weekend to give me the weekend off!

I have no idea what I'm going to do this weekend.

This weekend (the 7th) would work for me too, but it might be a little short notice for everyone else.

How many of you can make it on the 21st?

If we can get more people, I propose we move the meet-up to Saturday, August 21st.

Chime in and we'll decide from there. I'm cool w/ just about any date, so it's probably up to you guys/gals.

Peace.

I can be there at any point in time.  So count my vote for whichever date is the most popular.
