I-Pac Config Woes
« on: June 05, 2004, 12:11:25 pm »
Hey guys/gals, got a new problem with my cabinet.  I recently upgraded from an Asteroids cab to a POW (could fit 25"monitor in this one).  Anyways I transferred my IPAC from the old to the new, now i'm having a problem with it recognizing the "shift" functions.  When I run the test program (ctl+alt+p) it says my player 2 button 3 is pressed or shorted...its not even hooked up yet!

I've tried resetting the ipac, using both mame and ALT settings to no avail...all i want to do is be able to insert a virtual coin and exit out of games with out the keyboad poking through the coin slot :)

any help will be greatly appreciated.

Just want to point out that the test program is referring to the 2SW3 terminal on the I-PAC, not necessarily the P2B3 button on your cab.

Is there a wire connected to 2SW3 that could be shorting to ground, or any way the screwhead on the terminal is grounding out????

Otherwise, if no one else has ideas, you might E-mail Andy or post on the Ultimarc forum at www.mameworld.net
