WTB: Unusual controllers
« on: June 02, 2004, 02:35:36 am »
Hello Everyone,
In my never ending quest to collect unusual/uncommon controllers, I come to you for help.
I am always on the lookout for ANY spinners/joysticks/yokes/pedals/steering wheels that I don't already have in my collection. NOS items are of particular interest.

Here's a few of the things I am currently in need of.

Wico leafswitch rotary joys.
Tall/short Wico handles in colors other than red.
Non-pot style omega race spinner.
Pac-man joystick
Nintendo joysticks
Atari Hall-effect joysticks

But pretty much anything is considered.
Top $$ paid, some stuff to trade.

Thanks!

Are you building cabinets through all this collecting or do you just collect controls just for the sake of having them ?  ;D  I seem to remember you outbidding me on some sort of control that I needed for my 2nd cab a while back >:( ;) (I think it was a Wico 4-way but can't remember for sure). Dammit if you're going to be snatching up all these sought after controls then you better be putting them to good use because they're for playin not displayin ! ;) Just teasing. Actually I have a pretty good size box-o-controls in my closet and I'm sure alot of them will never make it into one of my cabs but some of them are just too cool to part with. Man this hobby does indeed cause strange collecting habits. :)

I am collecting them both for usage, and also for documentation purposes. If I can ever find the time, I intend to put a page together on my site with pictures and specs of all the controllers  I can get ahold of.  (Sorry about the outbid BTW... If it's the wico 4 way I'm thinkin it was...Be glad you didn't get it. The shaft is worn half way through near the base.)

 :)

You have been my nemesis a few times also!!! ;D

Congrats on the offroad panel!!  He never got back to me with a shipping quote.

I have an Operation Wolf gun (I might have outbid you on that one ::))  I'm going to hold on to it for a while to see if I can find a way to use it.  If and when I decide to get rid of it, I'll let you know if you're interested.

Paul

If you have extra 360 wheels, let me know.  I got the pedals and shifter from a Pole Position, but I got outbid on the wheel.

usedelectronics,

I've got two 8-way nintendo joysticks (arcade version not console), and I think I may have a Wico rotary leaf joystick but I'll have to check.  Email me if you are interested.

Hehe...
Sorry about that. Please don't take it personally.
I was pretty happy with the offroad panel deal.
I actually have a full brace of Op-Wolf guns now, but I do still need a Mechanized attack gun.

As for the 360 wheels, I have TONS! What style/what parts do you need?

I have a Mechanized Attack gun I'd be willing to sell - or trade for a positional gun (T2 or similar).

I actually need a mechanized attack gun.
The only other gun I have to trade is a operation wolf gun though.

I've got a Hall-effect stick sitting here doing nothing.  I've also got a box of sticks coming that may have some of your other wants.

I'd prefer to trade, if you have anything you'd like to swap for it, let me know.  I could use a yellow (center) Off-Road wheel if you've got a spare.  Also need pedals, shifters, a 270 wheel, a 720 stick, a Star Wars yoke, a Tron Joystick, Optical rotary sticks, Frontline/Tin Star aim & shoot controller, those little silver baseball/footlball flicker sticks, CLEAR buttons, Top fire sticks, analog sticks, Battlezone sticks, I'd like to trade my brand-new white 3 inch Happs trackball balls (balls only) for some in good condition in any other color, a Druin interface, an AKI interface, an SJC interface, all-metal joystick handles (ala slikstick) and probably a whole bunch of other stuff, too.

Some of that stuff is worth more than a Hall stick, I might be able to add $$ to the deal for something I really want.

Or, skip the trade.  Cash is nice, too.

Throw me an offer!
