Crayola Kidsball trackball on clearance from RS?
« on: July 31, 2002, 04:12:40 pm »
According to This Post at the arcade@home forum radio shack is marking down the crayola "kidsball" trackball for like 8 beans... I'm gonna stop at RS tonight and verify/pick one up...

UPDATE: doh... just looked at the timestamp on that post... if it was truly on "sale" the sale is probably over by now... but I'm gonna check to see if it was discontinued/discounted...

Well my local radio shack had no idea what I was talking about (as in never seen it in stock) but i'll keep checking different radio shacks...

I DID however find that overstock.com has em now for 29.99 ... which if it spins/feels like a real arcade trackball could be considered a bargain (any one with a kidsball or crayola tball comment on the feel/playability?)

http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?cid=19338&PAGE=PRODUCT&PROD_ID=39190&fp=F

Just an fyi for those who are interested in the kidsball/crayola trackball..

Hyiu,

Are you saying you found one for cheap at a radio shack or you ordered one from outpost?

If radio shack:  how does it feel?

I don't have any tips for the spinner save for oscar controls... I've got a pretty beatup wingman warrior joystick that I'll probably use if I spinner my cabinet controlpanel.

no... not radio shack.... I ordered from Overstock.com...

shipping is like $3.00 for slow ground whatever...
(anyway... I'm not in a hurry to have it....)

I don't know how it feels... but the older version...
(I think its called Kidsball or something....
people said they're good.... you might be able to find some really old discussion on the board, actually....)

once I get it, I'll hook it up, give it a try... and let you guys know....
