Just gutted my cabinet
« on: May 29, 2004, 07:09:19 pm »
Hi all

I am wondering if someone out there can tell me about the cabinet I just got.  Can you tell me if the boards inside are worth anything?

here is the link to the pics!

Make sure you copy and paste the whole link into your browser!

Thanks in advance!

Ok, the JAMMA board LOOKS like maybe a Neo Geo one slot, or other motherboard + cart system board, but without any carts. If you can make out the manufacturer then I can pin it down to an exact one. (Could be Neo Geo, CPS 2, Jaleco Mega System, or Taito F3).

As for the pattern board, dunno, probably left over from a previous incarnation, OR it was a test board that came with the cabinet, since that IS a generic cabinet that you have there.

Boards aren't going to be worth too much either way, don't expect more than $20 for either one of them, especially since you can't exactly test them without spending money.

Well it says SNK, on the black plastic piece.  So are you saying there is no game?  Does it have to have a cartridge plugged into it?  So there is no such game as Alladin's Castle right, do you think its the name of the place it came from.

Those cabinets are generic cabinets that the Alladin's Castle arcades used to house conversion games. Generic cabinets often came with test boards or pattern generators because of laws in some regions.

If it says SNK then it is probably a Neo Geo one slot, likely dead, otherwise it would have had a cart on the dang thing. Worth 80ish working, 20 or 30 dead.
