(Plywood in the following post is the smooth finish-grade plywood, maple I believe)
So I check through 2 local home depots. NOTHING is 5/8".
I found one pile of MDF that is 5/8", but I really would rather use plywood since it's really NOT that much more expensive in the scheme of things (I'd rather spend the extra $60 on plywood instead of a better computer component if you're following THAT thread

So, I came up with 1 5/8" pile of MDF, and about 5 different piles of 3/4" plywood, and 2 piles of 3/4" smooth particle board.
Should I start checking other lumber yards for 5/8" plywood? I don't really mind building the cabinet out of 3/4" I just think it's overkill, and I based my plans off of lusids (doesn't everyone?) which is based on 5/8" wood being used.
The other problem comes, where if I DO use 3/4" plywood, I still want 5/8" for the top of the control panel since it will have lexan on top. So I'll at least need a SMALL piece of 5/8".
So what do you think, should I just give in and get 3/4" for the whole cabinter, and get whatever I can 5/8" for just the top piece of the control panel.
