Cocktail Cab Glass Top Clips
« on: May 25, 2004, 04:08:04 pm »
I'm looking at building a cocktail cabinet, so one of the things I'm looking at is the metal clips that secure the glass top to the wood.  I found them from Happ, but they want $56 for a set of 8!  This seems a little pricey to me (but I'll pay it if I have to).

Aside from eBay, anybody have any alternatives?  Anywhere I can get these at a better price?

What an amazing resource.  Been there before, but hadn't seen the cocktail related products.  You're a life-saver.  Looks like I won't have to get the glass custom made now, either (the one on the site is the exact measurements I was planning on).

Thank you very much.

Except you could go to one of your local glass vendors and get a piece of tempered 1/4" smoked glass custom cut and it'll probably cost you 1/2 as much.

That's what I was planning on doing originally.  I'll be sure to get a local quote before I order anything.

Okay, related question.  Can anybody tell me what the radius on the corners of the top glass are on your standard Pac-Man/Ms. Pac-Man type cocktail cabinet?  I've got a local quote, and I will save a lot of money having it done locally, but I'd like to get the curve on the corners right.

The Ms.Pacman style cocktail kits I got from ArcadeDepot had a 3 3/8" corner radius and I got tempered glass for them for $75 each from a local glass shop (they didn't make it in-house, but I couldn't find anywhere that made tempered panes locally).
