Time Crisis Light Guns
« on: May 15, 2004, 09:42:29 am »
Would it be possible to hook up a pair of Time Crisis light guns to a MAME box?

I saw some USB PC light guns somewhere but they looked a bit small and plasticy. The price convinced me (I think they were about $30 a piece).

I really like the big chunky, heavy feel of the Time Crisis guns. That and the fact that they kick back when you fire.

And where could I get hold of them?

You could probably get some similar guns to that from ebay...you won't easily be able to hook them up tho :(

Probably your best bet would be to buy the PC gun you've seen (ActLabs), remove the guts and transplant into the arcade gun.  I gather you might loose some accuracy if you don't get the lense > optics distance right tho...

Hmmm

Transplanting the innards isn't a bad idea but would probbaly result in two dead guns!

I'm probably going to order one the act labs guns then. Just to double check - I want the TV USB gun for use on an arcade monitor with ArcadeVGA under Win2K?
