Trackball Mounting Dilemna...HELP!!
« on: May 13, 2004, 06:06:38 pm »
Hi guys!

I just got back from Starburst Coin in T.O., where I picked up a mounting plate for my Imperial Trackball (which I picked up from Peale a few weeks ago).

So I get home, and I'm thinking something's not right.  Is the metal mounting plate supposed to sit flat on the top surface of the trackball housing?   The reason I ask, is because the 4 holes in each direction beside the ball itself, seem to be too small for the metal posts coming out from the metal mountingplate.   I told the guy there that it was an imperial trackball, and that's the one he gave me.   Is it the wrong one, or am I wrong in thinking it's supposed to sit flush.   As it stands right now, the posts fit into where the holes are -  just not into holes themselves (it sits on top, with the posts acting like a spacer)

Help!

Thanks gang!
Mike

Maybe it's actually a wico trackball? (they are quite similar if I recall correctly).

Do you have a digi camera?  I'd like to help a fellow Canuk.  the guys are Starburst -usually- know what they are doing, so it shouldn't be too tricky to fix.
Back for nostalgia, based on nostalgia.

You might have to drill out the mounting holes in the trackball housing a little bit for the mounting plate to fit.  I think that's been posted a few times before.

Yep, here is something about it...

You guys are awesome!!  I drilled the holes in the casing a little wider and whaddyaknow...a perfect fit...   I had thought about doing that, but I was petrified that I might cause damage to something inside.

Thanks again!!
Mike
