With the amount of credit likely to be left on any of my credit cards, all you're going to be able to afford is a blurry pic of Chad on Seph's mom.

Screw that, I was always broke and I didn't have squat, lived in a tiny apartment that I had to share with two roomates. Now I live out in my secret compund in the middle of the Oklahoma wilderness, the only person I have to share it with is teh lovely Mrs. Stingray and I have a room full of my games and toys. Personally, I'm having much more fun at 35 than I had at 21.

Okay to be fair I don't remember much from when I was 21, so it probably was a lot more fun than now.

I'm that fast.  It's like a piledriver.  Can't get a clear still of me.  Seph's mom pays extra for that.  She's so used up she can't even feel normal sex anymore.

not that anyone cares but im 18.  my first arcade game must be either tmnt and bucky o hare.  being a kid was fun.  too stupid to know i should be hating most people and that the best years of your life are behind you and that all that awaits you is taxes, work, and then retirement when your too old to do anything.  getting the high score in star wars will kill you.  after beating obi wans score you have a stroke and then a heart attack when the power goes out taking your score with it.

but yeah arcades are fun.  actually i thought i was the youngest but so far 16 or 15 to lazy to double check.
Back in MY day we lived on the moon and we had to build a rocket ship from scratch to get to the Earth before we suffocated.

39 in a couple weeks.

I really feel sorry for the youth of today.  Everything has peaked and there is no WOW factor anymore.

Those of us who remeber the mid to late 70's witnessed some of the most incredible transformations of our society.  We witnessed the birth and evolution of so much technology.  Arcade machines, the home computer, movie special effects, consumer electronics, cell phones.

Most kids today don't look at these items with awe and understanding of how they changed our lives and the emotional connection we have with them.  I hope that the next big thing is more than just ipod's with video.  I hope my kids can say to there kids...There was once a time when we didn't have flying cars and everyone used roads....  Daddy?  What's a road?

I'm 18 and I wish I was born in the 70's so I could have experienced the arcade glory days.

It's not just the arcade days.

Do you remember a time when there weren't cell phones?

Do you remember the world before the internet?

Do you remember the black and white television?

Do you remember a time when there weren't computers?

Do you remember a time when you couldn't play video games at home?

Do you remember a time when your stupid 8-track or cassette player ate your tape?

Do you remember a time when the only channels you got were nbc, abc, cbs and pbs?

Do you remember when cars didn't have A/C?

Do you ember when cars didn't have seat belts?

I could go on all day.

It is astounding when you think about what has happened technologically in the past 30 years.  Many of us on this forum lived through all these evolutions.  I myself get caught up in it all and forget myself how much technology has evolved.

Honestly, I can answer yes to four of your questions.

Do you remember a time when there weren't cell phones?

Do you remember the world before the internet?

Do you remember the black and white television?

Do you remember when cars didn't have A/C?

I think most kids my age take the past for granted.  I am amazed at the technological innovations of the past.  I can't wait to see what the future holds.

Do you remember a time when there weren't cell phones?
--- GG:  Yes.  I remember the first cell phone I saw was one that my high-school football coach had.  And he had to carry around the phone in a special briefcase because it was so big

Do you remember the world before the internet?
--- GG:  Yep!!  I remember in the early 90's downloading on a 14.4kbs

Do you remember the black and white television?
--  Yep.. 12 inches and it had a UHF

Do you remember a time when there weren't computers?
-- Yeppers

Do you remember a time when you couldn't play video games at home?
-- Yeppers

Do you remember a time when your stupid 8-track or cassette player ate your tape?
-- Still have the big 8-track unit that my parents had

Do you remember a time when the only channels you got were nbc, abc, cbs and pbs?
--  Dont forget the local channels on the antenna.

Do you remember when cars didn't have A/C?
--  Roll down the windows

Do you ember when cars didn't have seat belts?
-- Loved riding around in the back of the station wagon with 5 kids the back seat.

Get ready for it...... 15 :)  Funny part is, I can do woodworking better than alot of people, since people ask questions on what to do all the time.  I got a few sheets of plywood just DYING to be cut up into side boards for an arcade :)

Today however it seems like we don't develop new things.  We just keep improving the old things.

Cell phones (to say that cell phones are just an improvement on the telephone is like saying the telephone wasn't new, but was just an improvement on the telegraph), MP3 players, TIVO, Nano particles, E-ink, Pain rays, DVD, fuel cells, highbrid engines, OLED, LCD, Plasma displays, cloning, viagra, propecia, CCD (digital camera sensor), flash memory, super bright LEDs, artificial limbs that are interfaced to and manipulated by the human brain, Laser eye surgury, WORLD WIDE WEB!!!, search engines, blog, Mars Rover, RFID, Hepititis A & B vaccines (HIV is around the corner),  sequenced the human genome, Roomba, Xbox Media Center.

In short....you are crazy.  I'm just a regular guy.  I'm no chemist or physicist.  If I were I could give you a hundred more amazing examples.
