Sprint 2 and Atari Basketball for trade.
« on: May 08, 2004, 07:15:00 pm »
Ok, I now have two Sprint 2's. I am going to combine all the best parts from both machines to make mine, and then the OTHER one will be available for trade.

The one I will have available for trade will have a working monitor, non-working boardset, solid cabinet, no back door, and a bit of surface rustage (minor) on the steering wheels. Sideart will be in excellent shape (both of mine have great sideart). One of the steering wheels will be slightly wobbly (probably not THAT hard to fix).

The price? One working JAMMA cabinet. Must be solid and have a good monitor. Doesn't matter what game it has. Also, must be horizontal, or swappable to horizontal.

Now, the Atari Basketball. Also has good monitor, needs a PCB repair (very clean board, doesn't seem to have any voltage), could use new rollers on the trackballs(bearings are fine though). Control panel is rusty, but the basketball graphics on it are still there. Cab needs some feet, or a new base on the bottom or something, as it doesn't have any feet on it, and is a bit chewed up down there (but will fix easily). Sideart is good, all the bezels are perfect. The marquee light even works. Oh, it is missing a button.

The price on that one. One working game, title doesn't matter, pinout doesn't matter, must have good monitor and have a joystick control panel.Must be horizontal or swappable to horizontal.

I will be painting over and converting both machines that I am looking to get, so I am really looking for solid conversion junk here, not dedicated games. These are going to be for my City Connection project and my Uo Poko project.

Both machines are in St. Louis. I DO have a truck now, but can only deliver if it is in state.

Also, I will trade the pair of them if you toss a 25" machine (with good monitor) my way.

It seems like it costs about $90ish to get the boards for either of these fixed at elektronforge, or those who are better at this stuff could probably do it themselves.

Hey paigeoliver,

I have a quick question for you if you don't mind.  I have what I believe is an Atari Basketball cabinet, but I am missing the plexi in front of the marquee light.  If you still have yours could you just measure it for me please and let me know the dimensions?  I would really really really really really really appreciate it.  Thanks!   ;D

Mike
I don't believe video games influence how people live!  If that were true we'd all be running around dark rooms, listening to repetitive music, and eating "magic" pills ... oh

Your cabinet is SLIGHTLY different than mine. Mine does not have a marquee area below the control panel like yours does. Mine just has a single large bezel from control panel to the top of the machine.

So you want to trade two non-working games for two working games that you're going to strip out anyway?

Huh?   ???

Looking to trade two uncommon semi-desirable dedicated games for a pair of working "conversion trash" games. I would rather see these games restored   ;D than converted.
