For Sale in MA/ New England
« on: May 06, 2004, 06:13:39 pm »
I was offered some project games and I cannot afford to buy all of of them so I was wondering if anyone in MA or even New england want to buy a cab or two

Here is the list of what is available

Combat
caberet style game

3 more jamma games in various stages of completion
Capcom bowling
Crowns golf
and one other jamma

BTW I already email peale and he has first choice on these remaining games.

I don't have all the details yet but I am looking for some people to buy these with me because this is an all or nothing deal and I only want 3 out of the 8.

I was thinking best offers over $50. The games  are located in Conneticut and I live in Methuen, MA , the last town off rte 93north in MA.

Now if you live between the location in CT  and  my house and are not to far off the rte I will be travelling . I will be willing to drop the untit(s) off at your house on my way home. If you live in the surround area and are willing to meet me at this guys house we could arrange that as well.

Thanks
Ed

I may be grabbing one of the cabs, haven't seen any pictures other than on the original auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3270516238&ssPageName=ADME:B:

Most of the stuff would be split up between you guys and anybody else that wanted in. So it's speak now or forever hold your peace, I guess.

I might take one, so long as it's not too big and has a monitor that looks like it might work.  Think you could stop by South Boston on your way home?

When are you thinking of picking them up? If you need a hand I could probably help out.

I know I'm new but I figured I'd throw my lot in.  I live near Gillette Stadium and would throw down $50 for the Combat cab if it's not too far off of your route, plus could phsyically help move any of the cabs if you need it that day.

Look right below the nick on any one here.  You see the little thing just below that says 'Instant Message?'  Click that.

Also, you can click the thing @ the top of the screen that says "Hey, ChadTower, you have xx messages, x are new." and send a message from there.  Just put the person's nick in the 'to' field.

You'll figure it out.  YABBSE is an easy board program to use.

I'm interested in the cabs you've got left.  I've got a few questions though...

What the heck is a cabaret cab?  Any examples pics on the net you could point me to?

Any idea on what condition the two leftovers are in?

And if I were to buy one, is there any posibility of you bringing it up to Concord, NH on the way to funspot?
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Like I said there are two left
1 empty jamma cab - no details yet or pictures and a
Cabaret stylye- I am attaching a picture ...well I am going to try to not sure if it will work if it doesn't look at the auction link above.

If looking at the pictures in the auction link. here is who is taking what:
combat - ChadTower wants
empty black cab on the end is for me
birdie king - is for me
cabaret brown/woodgrain - ?you maybe

As for bringing it to funspot on the weekend of the 5th . I doubt it as I am probably going to be driving one of my sports cars, but I do have a few trucks and we could work something out some weekend as  I go to winni almost every weekend during the summer.Starting this coming weekend

I think I'm going to have to back out, as much as I'd like to have another cab to work on. I can see my fiancee exploding; I've got two half finished cocktails sitting in our spare room that I really should get around to working on, rather than fill up more space with another half finished project. Sorry Ed.

So that free's up the Crowns Golf cab for whoever wants it.

I'm not too interested in the cabaret (pretty ugly if you ask me), but I am still interested in the jamma or the crowns if peale doesn't take it.

One thing I might add is I'm not realy looking to spend much more than $50.  I may be willing to pay a little bit more, but not much...  So if that's not going to be doable for you, with the added frustration of needing to take yer truck up this way, just let me know and I'll bow out for someone else to step in and take it off your hands.

I promise I won't be offended if you don't want to bring it up here!

crashwg,

Will worry about price and the other things later, I am still waiting on a response but the guy but  is still away on vacation with his family in Disney.

Now as far as the cabaret, it isn't the greatest looking thing I agree but it is the original mini cab  so with some work maybe someone can have a nice refurbed game , there is already a monitor in it, not sure if it works or what else is in there.

I would be interested in the cabaret or any other cabinet (like the jamma ) that was avaliable. I live in CT and would probably meet you with my own truck, and I would be happy to help you load any of the other items.

I have actually got some one intrested in the cabaret.I will keep you in mind.

Now just to re-iterate about these games they are all project games and have no more details thanwhat you guys read in the auction listing.

What happened is the buyer of the auction is bailing out  (gameroom not done) so I am trying to buy them from him. He has already paid the seller  for them but has not actually picked them up from the seller . The buyer was supposed to have contacted the seller and let him know what is going on and I haven't heard anything yet. I tried emailing  the seller to get more info, but he hasn't returned my email

Thanks

Ok here is the deal the seller just opened a new business and he finally called me yestarday . He says he has no time to take pictures of the other 4 cabs, that weren't listed in the auction.

I am trying to work on a date to pick them up next week hopefully mid week

Thanks

Chad... there are no details on the jamma cab .
but as for combat I beleive he said it was complete but had maybe a monitor problem. I was wondering if your offer to help load these up still stands , can you help at any time next wed.

Bill G ....the cabaret has a funny screen issue? may need cap kit or something

The current owner didn't mention any of the other machines that he is selling he told me about the ones I am keeping and then started  to tell me about the rest and he had to leave so that is the only info I have so far... and again he doesn't have the time to take the pictures of the other machines.

Again I have not picked these up yet so I can't be sure of what is what. The current owner hasn't touched /looked at these machine in 5 months.

Thanks
ED

Late afternoon is best, I have flexible hours at work but do get paid by the hour so the less time I have to take off that day the better.  I usually leave around 4:30.  What type of vehicle are we using and how many cabs are we moving?  I have a hand truck and some good straps.

Chad  truck with a rented trailer.

7 video cabs and one 9'-10 puck bowler

I told the guy I would call him on wed morning to try to pin down a good time I am sure it will take me a few hours to get there .

We will just have to wait and  see what happens but either way I am hoping to get answers from peale and bill g to see if they still want the machines.

It would be great because then you can pick what you want and I can drop them off at your house.

Yes, I'm still in.  For the price, they're worth it.  And thanks for letting me store them @ your place until I can clear a couple projects out of the way.

Trust me, that's part of my motivation.  :)  It's also an attempt to help out someone who's making an attempt to help out the forum members with some cheap project cabs as well...
