I'm about to start building my MAME cabinet.  I REALLY like the look of the MoonPatrol cabinet (also virtually idential, but perhaps slightly different in Robotron and Joust (likely only wider due to 2 player controls)

I was wondering if anyone had either Rough, Exact or very precise measurments for the outter shell.

I did some googling but didn't come up with any site with measurements or pics on all 4 sides.

Anyone have this info?

Thanks in advance.

Send to  "bfrandse@hotmail.com" with "CABINET" in the title or just reply here.

Bumping once... Hoping someone here owns a Moon Patrol (or Joust or Robotron) in the original cabinet.

The measurements I'm most interested in is:
Sides: Overall height + width, and points where it changes angle (This is the most important, the rest I can figure out with this info on 1 side)

Front: Height of front and back of control panel, width

Back: Width/Height, how it's pieced together (2 rigid at top and bottom with removable in center, or hinged?

Monitor Shelf Angle

Thank you in advance.   Any web sites with measurements will work too.

Sorry to follow up quickly, but I see that there are variations especially with Robotron and Joust, not having the same cabinet with the curved control panel.

The Moon Patrol cabinet I'm looking to clone looks like the one here:

Thanks

Mamefan,
I'm not sure, but when I purchased my Arcade game, the gentleman said that it was a converted X-men game, and what he thought was converted from Robotron.  I have posted pictures of the cabinet for your viewing at
http://mywebpages.comcast.net/dstarlin/.  Let me know if this is indeed what you were thinking, and I'll get any dimensions you would like.

I happen to have BOTH a Moon Patrol and a Joust 2 cabinet.  The Joust 2 is slightly wider than the moon patrol.  It might take a while to get all the measurements but I could get them for you this weekend...

Thanks,

Attention Flamers:  ;D

I saved both of these cabs from the junk heap and they were both victims of bad conversions.  The original boards were not in them and the control panels were pretty much swiss cheese.  I've restored the Joust 2 sideart but the moon patrol was beyond help.
