Database of games by buttons
« on: May 04, 2004, 01:15:02 pm »
Where can I find a database or list of games that use 1, button, 2 buttons, 3 buttons, 4 buttons, 5 buttons, 6 buttons sorted by the number of buttons required?

Doesn't mame32  allow you to sort games by the number of buttons per player?

I'm sure it used to, but that was back in the .61 days so there may have been a few changes since then :-)

I believe that sort info only works through Mame version 76...

Let me know if I'm wrong because I love that utility...

Sortinfo will work with the listinfo output from any version of MAME, I've used it with .81.

This link should be put in the FAQ or stickyed somewhere. Someone is always looking for a sortable version of listinfo.

Hehe, sortinfo is always asked around here, you are right.  Just a note, listinfo give horrible info on games, especially how many buttons it uses.

It just occurred to me that maybe when it lists "4 buttons" when a game really uses 2, it coule be because they are counting the Player 1 and PLayer 2 buttons too??
