Wilderness Arcade
« on: May 01, 2004, 12:22:20 pm »
I just got back from Walt Disney World, and my family stayed in some cabins at Ft. Wilderness.  It was SO fun and I've gotta admit that I was pretty impressed with their arcades.  Out in the middle of no where they had a buffet.  When I plopped my oversized rear end into my seat  saw across from me a sign that said "wilderness arcade".  Needless to say I quickly abandoned my family to explore the arcade.

They had one of those Star Wars Trilogy games, a Ms. Pac/Galaga combo,  a Centepede/Missle Command/Lets go Bowling Machine a Capcom multi game (Is that a MAME rip off or what!?).  They had a Crazy Taxi, a Simpsons 4 player cab and some other new games...that I wasn't terribly interested in.  They had big fancy guns on them and stuff and some safari type game where you drove a jeep and I think had to shoot animals.

Anyway, it was the best week of my life.  And the arcades were fantastic....the down side is that...well....as it turns out....DisneyWorld is the greatest place on earth (especially if you get to go with you family, I went with my parents, my girlfriend and kids, my sister and her husband and their kids) and there really just wasn't enough time to play that many video games.  I probably played 45 minutes worth of Ms Pac Man the whole time I was there.

But still...if you have a chance...GO TO DISNEYWORLD!  :D
