This happened a few months agp and thought maybe someone here would have an idea what happened?  I was running an s-video cable to my tv from my computer and was playing a movie, all of a suddent the screen flickered and went dead accompanied by a lovely burning smell.  Any ideas what could have caused this?

mine died due to overheating. i just reconfigured my placement and added some more vents and its been fine since.

it was only a 25dollar repair so wasnt to bad. but seems similar to what happened to me.
