I guess I'm still a little confused:
I am trying to create an on/off switch for an led (to go under my trackball), powered by a 9v battery.
I have already gotten the on/off action to work by going from the battery's positive terminal to one of the bottom prongs. Then I wired the other bottom prong to the LED's positive terminal (through a resistor, of course). Then, I've gone straight from the battery's negative terminal to the negative terminal on the led.
Even if I wire the negative terminal to the third (side) prong of the switch, the light on the switch does not illuminate (although the on/off action of the led still works). What am I doing wrong?
thanks
