Does anyone know the average height of the focal point on a showcase cab monitor?

I would put the center at average eye height of the people you expect to play it.
I hold to the "build what works best for you" theory.
The original arcade machines were all built to average height of everyone playing them; which, in most cases, was too low for average height adult males.

I think the normal rule of thumb (for screens close to your face) is that top of the screen is a tad below the eye height.

But that might just be because otherwise screens would be way to heigh up. Put a screen center at eye height and the top might be up to 2 meters heigh.

It might also depend on the game though. Games with most action at the bottom might need to sit a bit heigher. At least I noticed Galaga was harder (my ship tended to get hit more often by bombs and aliens) when I put the screen lower. Allthough when you slant the monitor back (as it was in Galaga) it again gets easier ...

I was hoping for some actual heights of other showcase cabs.
But examples of preferred focul points was interesting also.

Where are everyone elses preferred focul points? Be sure to include how tall you are.
