Joystick tension/resistance
« on: July 23, 2002, 12:05:50 pm »
I recently built a cocktail cabinet and used Happ's 4-way ultimate joysticks.   They work fine but I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for an alternate 4-way.  The ones I have seem to be a little too easy to muve (up/down/left/right).  My personal preferencewould be that there would be more resistance and firmness when moving them.  I thought about putting some foam/rubber inserts in the circular opening that the stick goes through but thought this wouldn't be the best solution.

Any ideas?

You can get hard(er) springs. If you check the exploded view on Happs' site of your joystick you can get the part numbers of the various springs, then put those numbers into the search box. Only problem is they're like 20 cents each and happs does the $25 minimum order.

Thanks,
Luckily I work about 30 minutes from Happ Controls so I can just run over there and pick the stuff up.
