Golden Tee Portable...how's this guy doing it?
« on: April 22, 2004, 07:11:25 pm »
Check out this Golden Tee Portable cabinet

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=13716&item=3288513700

Golden Tee 99 in a portable cab that can hook up to your TV?  this looks pretty slick.  How is this done?  could this possibly solve the problem of only having GoldenTee PC for our mame cabs?  you could have your mame setup and then switch the TV over to the line-in for the Golden Tee 99.

any help or insight would be great...heck I'd like one of these in any case.

All that thing consists of is a control panel with the Golden Tee PCB and a supergun inside.

Alright, now where do I find info on superguns?

supergun is the thing that puts the jamma pcb on a TV?

cost?

would you be able to just have the line in to a tv and switch it that easily?

Golden Tee has been the one thing out of reach for me.  the PC version is okay, but the thought of real golden tee experience is awesome.  I hate having to explain the "new" way to play to people.

click on club up club down for clubs

"but in the arcade it's left right trackball"

I know I know shut up.

click anywhere on the grass to swing

"but in the arcade I can just swing"

I know I know shut up

repeat all night

supergun could save me from this?

OSCAR has a Supergun in the Project Announcements forum.  There are a few links in that thread too.

There was also a little board recently that someone had a link to that converts the +15->svid for 100 bucks or so.

So for 100 bucks, you have a supergun type setup... when you don't care to convert the controls.

I think a "supergun" is supposed to be a Jamma (or other) test rig.  The purpose is to be able to play/test multiple games.

This is nothing like a supergun, this is just a Golden Tee in a small cabinet, with an RGB->NTSC converter.

That is EVERYTHING like a supergun.

Anyway, you can usually buy a 19" cabinet with working monitor and power supply cheaper than you can buy or build a supergun.

I own one of these, and it works pretty well.
