TRADED: Need buttons and stick.
« on: April 19, 2004, 04:16:33 pm »
Hello,

I am looking to trade, here's the deal.

I need 8 to 10 arcade convex buttons with microswitches or leaf switches and 1 8-way joystick.  I would definately prefer a brand name stick and buttons like Happ, Ultimarc, or Optistick, but any will do.  2/4/8 switchable is a plus. A second joystick of any kind is also a plus.

I have these objects to trade:
2 Playstation/Playstation 2 generic dual shock controlers with for feedback and analog mode (good for hacking) and a Super Joybox 5 that allows a person to connect up to four Playstation or Playstation 2 controllers to your PC via USB.  This setup was going to be for my one-to-four player arcade controller, but my funding went flat, so I am going to go the one player route.   All of the items I have are in great shape and work fine.

Additionally, I have a spare Microsoft mouse and some misc games for PC and SNES to sweeten the deal if needed.

I am looking to trade instead of putting this stuff up/buying on ebay because once you pay the ebay fee, the shipping, the sales tax, and the paypal fee, it makes this swap too costly.

Any takers send me a PM, post to this thread, or e-mail me directly at gfpension2@sbcglobal.net

Thanks,

I also have three different APEM (two round aluminium, on more like a tempest knob) spinner knobs I can throw in if needed.

This setup would also be good for anyone looking to play Playstation or other console emulators on their PC.

When I said convex buttons, I was in too much of a hurry.  I meant concave buttons, concave....

I have plenty of joysticks (mainly WICO or dedicated original joysticks) and buttons.

Probably 20-30 joysticks and 60-80 buttons.  I am interested in those spinners.  Can you tell me a little more about them?  As in, does it have an encoder of some sort on the other sides?

I go by the name lancelet on KLOV forums and my Ebay ID is vicious_D (an unfortunate name for selling, I know)

This is all part of a big barn find so I have other stuff as well.

They are not spinners, but spinner knobs.  I am currently working on a prototype spinner made from a vacuum motor assembly that should be interesting, but I have no spinners to sell.

The spinner knobs are an inexpensive ($2 per) alternative to the real thing.  They are good knobs though.

All of the knobs are black.  Two of the knobs are aluminium and cylindrical. One of them is smooth and the other has grooves on the side for grip.  The third knob is a plastic knob that is most closely comparable to a Tempest knob, but has a few key differences.

They are made by APEM (www.apem.com) and if that is all you are after, PM me.

Oh, these knobs are the same that Twistygrip used and I have seen them used on many other home arcade projects.

By the way, vicious_D, I also have an odd ebay login. It is kingofbuttecounty.  I used this login thinking I would not be on ebay much, but I was wrong, now I am stuck with it.  BTW I did not see any items for sale for you on ebay, are you going to sell off part of your fortunate big barn find?

I'm keeping Gun.smoke and a Do! Run Run cab-plus 3 other Universal PCB's to fit the cab.

And I will be selling stuff again soon.  But I want the stuff photographed, packaged, and ready to go before I submit them.  I got everyones order off in time last round of selling, but it was a headache...they really don't make boxes for odd-shaped arcade parts.  And It was causing me more stress than was necessary. I've already sold quite a few things, marquee's, and CP's mainly.

I live in Arkansas, so I have no choice but to part most of it out.  Not much in the way of arcade collectors around here.

Soon I will put a pretty decent Pac Man CP and Rally X CP up.  Plus a rare Super Moon Cresta marquee and a Zaxxon Marquee.   And maybe a few PCB's-just depends on what free packaging I can find.  ;)
