WTB 8 black horizontal pushbuttons as cheap as posible
« on: April 18, 2004, 12:09:38 am »
I'm not necisarlly looking to buy them from anyone in particular, just wondering what the cheapest method would be.   ;D
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Just a heads up , I bought some buttons from the mentioned ebayer (28 red buttons). The are not the same as what you would get from Happs. At least not the ones I got. The are much flatter and dont have the same style of raised bevel around he button. The dip in the center of the button is not the same or as deep as Happs and you can really feel the difference. Also they feel very cheap, very light. And the microswitches are the loudest I have ever heard.

I am not trying to bash the seller , I got what I ordered very quickly with no problems but it was not what I was expecting and ended up ordering 28 red buttons from Happs anyways.

I was thinking the same thing - you won't beat 50 cents a button, and "Any color you want as long as it's black. . . "

It's not what you take when you leave this world behind you, it's what you leave behind you when you go. - R. Travis.
When all is said and done, generally much more is SAID than DONE.

I've played with both the X-arcade and Happ horizontals, and I prefer the Happ.  Enough that I would pay the extra $1 per button.

But that's just me.
What was that again?

that is funny, I just bought some stuff from this seller too. I got two comp sticks and a bunch of buttons. I hear what you are saying though...not happs. I think the reason they feel so cheap is because the springs don't have a high spring rate. Any ideas where I could get better springs to put in there that have more tension? Also, I like the prices at therealbobroberts.com, but I don't like to mail payments anymore. can anyone vouch for that guy?

on another note, one of my competition sticks is acting up, so we will see if that seller comes through.

bob has probably the best reputation in the bussiness. you never have to worry when you order from him. sometimes he even sends you extra stuff you didn't order as a gift.
