Could SIGSEGV = Bad Memory???
« on: July 22, 2002, 07:14:10 am »
Over the weekend I had a chance to sit down and do some seirous gaming.  At first I thought it was just a few games giving me the SIGSEGV error message, but after playing more games it seems almost 90% of the games I try to play crash after a while.

Could the SIGSEGV error be caused by:

- Bad Memory chips
- Bad AdvMAME.exe file (or wrong version)
- Bad Rom file
- Conflict in Video, Audio, other settings

I'm running the latest version of AdvMAME (K6 Version).  I've tried all the versions of the lastest AdvMAME and all crashed with the SIGSEGV error.  I also switched from ArcadeOS to AdvMENU, but still no luck.

If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it, and so would the girlfriend who is getting ticked off that she can't play a full game of 'Bust-a-Move'

Thanks!!
