OptiPAC and Vortex - mouse jittery
« on: April 12, 2004, 12:23:01 pm »
Greetings.  I have an IPac and an OptiPAC with a Happ trackball and a couple supers (there is also a serial mouse in the picture).  the Opti is attached via USB and is the only USB device.  Everything works fine.

I just added a Vortex to the OptiPAC.  The trackball still works fine but the spinner just makes the mouse "jitter" back and forth on the screen, about 2-3 pixels.  I get no movement from the spinner except the "jitter" while in Windows XP.  The cursor is normal other than the jitter when I move the spinner.  I fired up Tempest and get no movement at all with the spinner

The OptiPAC appears to be reacting normally to having a spinner attached (trackball inactive for 5 secs after touching the spinner, buttons still work, etc.).

Thoughts?

I'm an idiot.  I hooked the spinner to X1 and Y1 rather than X1 and X2.  Yeesh.
