Identify a game ...
« on: April 12, 2004, 06:39:46 am »
Hi guys,

I'm trying to Id a game that I have played a few times ... a long time ago ...

The only things I remember are:

It was passed on a mine with what I believe were slaves;
They were trying to escape from the mine;
The purpose was to lead them out of the mine;
I think what you have to do is to tell them how to open the doors, the guards to eliminate, kinda "lemmings" but with humans ...

I know it's not much ... but maybe some of you know this game ... and if you linke the style, surely you still play it ...  :)

Thanks,

Lilwolf

Are you sure it wasn't Indiana Jones and the temple of doom?

Yes ... I'm sure it wasn't, 'cause it was a 2D game ...

Another thing that came to mind ... was that on the same screen we could sometimes see two levels of the mine and there was elevators one could use to change those levels ...

Hmmm...  Indiana Jones was 2d (well technically, anyway), and the game you suggest sounds a lot like it:

Was it an arcade game or a computer game?

It wasn't Humans, was it?

Sounds alot like oddworld... minus the mudokons of course.
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

It sounds a bit like Blackthorn (not sure there were any slaves in that one) or another older one I had a demo of on the Amiga, really tiny little characters. Trying to remember the name.

Aha, 20 minutes later and Benefactor. Dunno if it's the right one but it was great.
