Best way to build speaker system?
« on: April 08, 2004, 09:24:20 pm »
I currently have speakers to go into my cabinets but I'm wanting to get maybe a small amplifier and subwoofer. Any ideas on where to get some of these items without spending alot?

If you have a GoodWill store near you, check it out.  I bought a 200 watt Stereo Amplifier for $25 bucks.  You might even get lucky and find a sub there.

I got a powered subwoofer speaker system from Compusa for $25.

http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=307483&pfp=cat3

I was able to take the speakers out of their cases, reuse the speaker grilles, and it sounds great.
