Any interest in 4" trackballs?
« on: April 06, 2004, 02:15:37 pm »
To help me decide the fate of my Atari Basketball, I am asking if there is any interest in here in 4" trackballs. They do roll freely, but the rollers are very worn down, and they need the replacement rollers, which cost $20 for a set.  They have the optic boards, which are untested at this time, but I can test if they are compatible with Oscars mouse hacks.

There are the 4" Atari "Maxi" trackballs, used in Missile Command, Football, Basketball, Soccer, and perhaps other games as well.

So, if you are interested in one, then make an offer here.

Are they the huge 4" black one's? I got one of those from LLoyd at coinopwarehouse in Hagerstown MD. for 10$, The ball, rollers and bearing were real crap, so I got  a nice 4" translucent from happs for like 55$. I spent hours breaking it down, cleaning, oiling, and mounting to my new CP. I never did get the bearings quite working right, but it works well enough.

I may be interested in another. how about 10$?

They are the huge 4" black ones. The balls on them are good, but not perfect. They should not need to be replaced though,

Keep the offers coming in. Cosider this a sort of auction.
