Trackball to Mouse hack question
« on: April 02, 2004, 08:15:16 pm »
All of the mouse hack tuts I've seen show the detectors having 3 leads on them, but the ones on my mouse have 4- does anyone know how to hook it up to a trackball?

I managed to figure it out with a multimeter.  There are leads for 5v, ground, + axis and - axis.

I would have just deleted the topic, but I thought maybe someone could make use of the info in the future if they found this post using the search. :)

FYI, it's a Logitech First Wheel Mouse- I don't know if all Logitech mice use the 4 lead detectors or not...
