Joysticks for fighters
« on: April 02, 2004, 01:52:03 pm »
I could have swore that I've seen this before, but the search didn't come up with what I was looking for.  Maybe I used the wrong words.. anywayz...

What are the best joys for fighting games like Street Fighter, Samurai Showdown and KOF?  What are the joys used on those cabinets?  I've priced everything I need to start building and discovered that it's going to cost a chunk of change.  So my first CP will be a 2 Player 7 button each setup.  The others will come later when I can afford them.  ;)  Thanks all.

I recommend competitions from Happ. They are excellent for fighters and also work pretty well for the older games like 1942 and Scramble etc.

Can anyone tell me what games require 7 buttons? And is that the maximum for any game?

And what is "KOF"?

Thanks.

Thanks for the info Apollo.  Bob sells them for $8.50 each.  Can't beat that!

No game that I know of requires 7 buttons, besides console games.  I'm going with the Neo-Geo + Capcom setup.  I'm a big Neo-Geo fan, so I'm wanting the 4 button layout.

KOF = King of Fighters series on Neo-Geo.   ;)
