psx-pc dual or single?

If you have experience with PSX to PC pad adaptors, do you think it's a best idea to have two adaptors, one for each pad/joystick or does that kind of double adaptor (two pads/sticks in one adaptor) work perfect too, or are they not as quick in response or have any other problem?

IIRC, there aren't timing problems with two-in-ones, and they can actually be better then separate adapters.  Reason being that on some systems, if your adapters are the same brand and type, they may be picked up as controller one or two differently each time you boot.  Can make cabinet applications difficult.

Somebody double check me on this though, 'cause I may be wrong.

The best is to buy a 4 player one.  I got one off of ebay, it's like a blue V (the guy also sells 2 player ones).  I only paid him $18 including shipping I think and it works great in MAME.  All the PSX controllers also work in analog with no errors.  The only thing is I'm not sure if rumble works or not yet, I'm not really sure how to test that out.  Hope this helps.
